Our Community Advocates aim to raise awareness amongst decision makers and the general population of the critical importance of viral hepatitis in Australia and the need to provide better access to health care and management for those living with chronic hepatitis B and C.
Our Advocates are a diverse group of courageous people affected by hepatitis B or C (living or connected with) who get involved in different advocacy activities in their local communities.
Community Advocates share their personal experience of living with, or supporting others with viral hepatitis, with a range of others including healthcare workers, government representatives, the media and others going through similar experiences.

Community Advocates receive training in advocacy, media and public speaking skills and are invited to participate in other Hepatitis Victoria activities and programs.
